Upcoming Key Peninsula Events:
An Orca Afternoon Saturday, April 18, 1:00pm-3:00pm in the Whitmore Room at KP Civic Center. This is a fundraiser for the sculpture at Gateway Park. NW Orca Network Co-Director is excited to meet Key Peninsula residents to connect and discuss sightings around the KP. You will hear about Orcas behavior, their intelligence and see her photos/videos . In Addition their sculptor will talk about how he will create the orca sculpture in Gateway Park , show photos of previous work, and do a sculpting demo….. Plus more amazing photography by local resident. Refreshments, Raffle, Door Prize and Silent auction. All for an entrance donation of $20.00.

They try to answer questions about Eviction, Landlord-Tenant Issues, Family Law, Consumer Issues, or Civil Law Concerns. No appointment needed, served in order of arrival. Talking Trash in Pierce County. Food Waste: prevention and collections simplified Tuesday, April 14, 6:00pm-7:00pm virtual via Zoom. Learn tips and tricks to easily collect all your food waste and fully utilize your residential curbside food/yard waste cart. They will help you avoid the “yuck factor” and discuss ways to help prevent wasted food in the first place! Worm Composting, Learn how redworms turn food scraps into nutritious compost for plants. They will go into setting up, caring for, and troubleshooting worm bin composting.
