Timely News:
Need help finding resources: food, transportation, healthcare (including insurance), or just need a hand to help navigate systems connecting to services? Charlotte, the Community Health Worker with KP Partnership will be at KP Community Services Wednesday, June 24 at 12:00pm to help.
KP Kids meeting on Thursday, June 25 at 10:00am at Red Barn Youth Center.
KP Community Council – Coffee Hour Thursday, June 25, 11:00am. Speaker will be Izzy Edwards about photography.
KP Go Electric Carshare launches on the Key Peninsula this summer! Stop by the KP Corral in Key Center on Friday, June 26 from 5pm-7pm to see the KP Go Carshare vehicle and learn about the program. Enjoy live music from KC and the Sound along with goodies and giveaways! For additional information: www.KPGO.org
The Beer Vault & Wine Bar will have Friday, June 26, 6:30pm-8:30pm for an evening of live music benefiting Food 4 All (Formerly Food Backpacks 4 Kids).
Key Pen It Clean’s Roadside Litter Clean-up Saturday, June 27, 10:00am. They will meet in front of the KP Lutheran Church on Lackey Road to hand out safety vests, litter grabbers, trash bags, and road assignments. Please wear close-toed, sturdy footwear and bring work gloves. Volunteers must be in good health and at least 15 years old. First-timers are always welcome.

Get your cat/dog spayed for FREE for low-income pierce county residents only. On July 1, the Tacoma Humane Society will open applications for spay/neuter vouchers. The vouchers are usually snapped up in just hours, so act fast when applications open up. If you’d like Spay/Neuter Key Peninsula to notify you when the Humane Society opens up applications, TEXT 360-519-4338 and say, “Please notify me when voucher applications open up”.

4th of July Parade in Home at 10:00am. Starts on the corner by the home store and goes to B street along the waterfront (A street).
Family Fun Fest Saturday, July 11, 12:00pm-4:00pm at Gateway Park. There will be bounce houses, carnival games with prizes, crafts photo booth, and much more. Partners & Pairings: A Fundraiser Dinner Saturday, July 18, 5:00pm-8:00pm Key Peninsula Lutheran Church. Dinner buffet featuring Pasta Pairings catered by Olive Garden (2 types of pasta, 3 sauces, 3 meats, salad, and breadsticks). Tour KP Co-op Preschool’s Forest Friends Nature School, Sneak peek at KP Go Electric Carshare, Dessert auction, Raffle prizes, Cash bar (beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages available for purchase). Proceeds will be split 50/50 between Key Peninsula Co-op Preschool & Key Peninsula Partnership for a Healthy Community. Activities off the Key Peninsula:
Round Rock Presentation Wednesday, June 24, 6:30pm at Harbor History Museum in Gig Harbor. This year marks the 75th anniversary of Gig Harbor’s famous Round Rock Contest! Join Museum director Stephanie Lile for a deep dive into the geology and history of round rocks and the colorful backstory of our annual contest. The Found Market, Valley Vintage Market. Hosted at the Kitsap County Fairgrounds in Bremerton Washington. Shop over 100 vendors for awesome secondhand treasures! Friday, June 26: 9-10am early bird entry $10 (good all day Friday), 10-4pm general admission $5. Saturday, June 27: 9-10am early bird entry $10 (good all day Saturday), 10-3pm general admission $5. Bremerton Bridge Blast— a two-day event of music, family fun, food vendors, and an unforgettable fireworks show over the Manette Bridge on Saturday, June 27th. At Evergreen Rotary Park on Saturday, June 27th, from 2PM to 10PM, food trucks, face painting, and kids’ entertainment. The Bremerton Boardwalk June 27th & June 28th, live music & entertainment, Food trucks & local vendors, Family-friendly activities, Waterfront beer garden, Fireworks finale lighting up the sky over the bridge on Saturday, June 27th at Dusk approximately 10:15 PM.
