FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Who’s paying for this?
KP Go Electric Carshare is funded through June 2027 by a Washington State Department of Transportation Zero-emission Access Program (ZAP) grant, which is supported by state funding from Washington’s Climate Commitment Act (CCA).
The CCA supports Washington’s climate action efforts by putting cap-and-invest dollars to work reducing climate pollution, creating jobs, and improving public health. Information about the CCA is available at www.climate.wa.gov.
Who’s in charge of KP Go?
Key Peninsula Partnership for a Healthy Community (KPPHC) leads a task force of local partners who make all the big decisions about KP Go. Those partners include Key Peninsula Community Services, The Mustard Seed Project, Red Barn, and Food 4 All. Ongoing KP Go program operations are managed by KPPHC.

Why start an electric car share program on the Key Peninsula?
Public transportation options on the Key Peninsula are very limited. Without a personal vehicle, getting around can be a real challenge. Improving access to public transportation is one of Key Peninsula Partnership for Healthy Community’s (KPPHC) main areas of focus.
The goal of the ZAP grant that funds KP Go is to expand access to clean-fuel transportation by supporting the development and implementation of zero-emission carshare programs in underserved communities, particularly those like the KP with limited access to reliable public transit.
KPPHC took advantage of the ZAP funding opportunity to bring another transportation resource to the Key Peninsula community.
