Partners & Pairings: A Fundraiser Dinner Saturday, May 16, 5:00pm-8:00pm Key Peninsula Lutheran Church. Dinner buffet featuring Pasta Pairings catered by Olive Garden (2 types of pasta, 3 sauces, 3 meats, salad, and breadsticks). Tour KP Co-op Preschool’s Forest Friends Nature School, Sneak peek at KP Go Electric Carshare, Dessert auction, Raffle prizes, Cash bar (beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages available for purchase). Proceeds will be split 50/50 between Key Peninsula Co-op Preschool & Key Peninsula Partnership for a Healthy Community. Peninsula Community Health Services (PCHS) Mobile Medical will be at KP Community Services (KPCS) Wednesday, May 6, 1:00pm-3:00pm. Walk-ins welcome, but appointment recommended. https://www.PCHSweb.org

A SHIBA, Medicare Advisor, with PCHS at KP Community Services will also be there on Wednesday, May 6 at 11:30am.

Peninsula School District, Youth Mental Health Town Hall Thursday, May 7, 6:00pm-8:00pm at KP Civic Center. Community Conversation focused on supporting the mental health and well-being of our young people. Local leaders, educators, health professionals, and community partners will come together to share perspectives, resources, and discuss ways can work together to strengthen support for youth and families.

Also at KP Community Services, Mother’s Day Fashion Show & Tea Friday, May 8 at 1:30pm.

Livable Community Fair will be Saturday, May 9 at KP Civic Center, 10:00am-3:00pm. Non-profits & Community service organizations as well as local businesses sign-up early to host a booth. Life After Loss-Grief Support Group Monday, May 11, 12:00pm at The Mustard Seed Project.

Tacoma Pro-Bono will be at KPCS Tuesday, May 12, 10:00am-12:00pm, and at TMSP 1:00pm-3:00pm. No appointment necessary, first come-first served.

Sunnycrest Nursery Farmers Market is accepting applications for vendors to participate. If you’re interested email them for a packet at Sunnycrestnursery@yahoo.com. All applications must be received by May 15th.

Food 4 All Grand Opening Garden Party Saturday, July 11, 10:00am-2:00pm. Join them in celebrating the launch of the Cooperative Farm Stand at their new property, 15717 88th St. NW, Lakebay. Enjoy: delicious food & drinks, Locally grown Farm Stand produce, Fun & Games for all ages, and a Silent auction. Also, volunteers are needed. Harvest Season opens July 11th. Thriving Generation presents – Raising Kids in the Smartphone Age: Creating Healthy Boundaries for Thriving Families Thursday, May 21, 6:30pm-8:00pm at Swift Elementary. Parents will leave with: A clear understanding of what research says about screens and teen mental health, practical routines for reducing conflict at home, age-appropriate guidelines for phones and social media, a simple framework for creating healthy boundaries, and ideas to help teens build a life bigger than their screen.
