FAQ’s:

Did you hear KP Civic Center’s Friday Night Skate was in Tacoma News Tribune on March 16, 2026?

Friday night skate has long been a cherished tradition in the community, but few realize it has been going strong for 50 years.

When the Civic Center nearly ran out of usable skates, they were connected with Bont, a premier skate manufacturer based in Australia, which generously donated 70 pairs of skates. Community members also stepped up, sponsoring boxes and helping cover shipping costs. The total value of the donation was approximately $25,000.

Today, Skate Night regularly draws around 150 kids, offering an affordable and fun activity for local families. Admission is $6 per child, and parents can skate for free when accompanying their children—skate rental included.
