Timely News:
Key Center Library: Wednesday, September 16 – Story Time for Babies 10:15am-11:15am, Play Time 1:00pm-2:00pm, Fall Celebration – a STEAM for Kids Discovery Lab 4:00pm-5:00pm; Thursday, September 17 – Story Time for Mixed Ages 11:15am-12:15pm; Monday, September 21 – Legal Help Pop-up, Tacomaprobono 2:00pm-4:00pm.
Veterans and Friends Coffee Wednesday, September 16 1:00pm at KP Community Services. A welcoming gathering where veterans and community members enjoy coffee, conversation, and camaraderie.
Also at KP Community Services Adult ADHD/ADD Support Group Thursday, September 17 and every Thursday at 2:30pm.

Public Safety Committee Thursday, September 17 at 5:30pm-7:30pm at Key Center Fire Station.
Scarecrow Contest registration starts September 19 and ends October 21. Sign up your scarecrow at the KP Council office in the Corral or online at kpfarmtour.com. People’s choice voting will be in Key Center IGA October 23rd-October 28th, and winners will be announced on Facebook and in IGA on October 29.
Visit Gig Harbor is seeking local businesses, locations, and community members to participate in their upcoming professional photo and video shoot on September 23rd and 24th throughout Greater Gig Harbor and Key Peninsula. Thanks in part to grant funding from the Port of Seattle and Pierce County, participating businesses will receive access to selected professional photos and video assets free of charge for use in their own marketing. Caregiver Academy, September 30 – October 25 at The Mustard Seed Project. Participants will receive all the required hours and training to become a Certified Home Care Aide. Key Pen It Fresh. Saturday, October 10 10:00am-2:00pm at the Meadow in 360 Trails. This is a FREE community Event hosted by Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance and Key Pen Parks. Come spend the day riding, playing, and learning together. There will be something for every age and experience level from little ones getting comfortable on a strider, to kids ready to hit the trails, to teens looking to learn more about bike care and maintenance. Come explore the trails, connect with your community, and enjoy a day outside on two wheels. We’ll see you at the trails! Registration is not required for this event; just bring your bike and helmet, then come ready to have some fun!

Leave the Leaves – Youth Workshop Saturday, September 19, 10:30 am – 12:00 pm at the Gig Harbor Demonstration Garden 10123 78th Ave NW, Gig Harbor. It’s time to start shutting down the garden and enjoying some of its bounty. We’ll get together to share in fall garden related activities and have some fun! Legal Aid Pop-up with Tacomaprobono Monday, September 21, 10:00am-12:00pm at the Gig Harbor Civic Center. Do you have questions about family law, consumer/debt issues, wills and estates, housing or any other civil legal issue? Legal Aid Pop-Ups are free and can provide help navigating the civil legal system, referrals to resources and answers to common questions but do not provide direct legal advice. There is no income screening, and any topic can be discussed with our outreach team.
