Paint a Rock with the Key Center Library and Key Pen Parks is next Tuesday, August 13th from 10:30am-11:30am. Located at Gateway Park. All supplies provided.

Tacoma ProBono Legal Aid. Tuesday, August 13th: 10:00am-12:00pm at Key Pen Community Services in Home and 1:00pm-3:00pm at the Mustard Seed Project in Key Center.

KP Business & Organization Information: 

The Key Free Clinic will be open next on Thursday, August 15th starting at 4:30 at the Community Office in the Key Center Corral.

Red Barn Youth Center will be celebrating its 10th anniversary with a party on August 17th.  Free lunch from noon to 1:00 pm, the program starts at 1:00. For more information, go to: www.redbarnkp.org

Food Backpacks 4 Kids 5th Annual Community Clothing Giveaway. Shopping days are Friday, August 23rd, 12:00 pm-7:00 pm; Saturday, August 24th, 10:00 am-6:00 pm; and Sunday, August 25th, 9:00 am-12:00 pm at the Key Peninsula Civic Center.   • What is the Red Barn Youth Center?
    • The Red Barn Youth Center is an amazing KP asset that provides teens, ages 6th grade through 12th, a place to go, be safe, socialize, and learn.
      • In the summer, Red Barn is open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
      • When school is in session, it is open on school days from 2:30 to 6:00 pm
    • How much does it cost?
      • Red Barn is a free asset for our families, but students must be registered.
    • How do I find out more?
    • How long has it been open and how is it funded?
      • Red Barn has been open 10 years now and will be celebrating on August 17 (see above)!
      • Funding comes from many places, including individuals, foundations, and public funds but can only be guaranteed when the youth center is used.
        • Please let families with teens know about this wonderful resource!
