Timely News:

Here is what is happening at the Key Center Library this week: Wednesday, June 4 at 10:30am-11:30am, KP Readers – An Hour of Coffee and Conversation and Legal Help Pop-Up with Tacomaprobono 1:30pm-3:30pm; Saturday, June 7, 1:00pm-3:00pm, Dementia Home Care; Tuesday, June 10, 5:00pm-6:00pm – Wildfire, Smoke & You, Learn how to protect your family and community from wildfire and smoke.

Key Peninsula Community Services (KPCS) hosts the Peninsula Community Health Services (PCHS) Mobile Medical Clinic on Wednesday, June 4 from 1:00pm-3:00pm. Appointments are recommended, but they will try to fit in walk-ins. Contact the website for more information. (pchsweb.org)

The Key Free Clinic on Thursday, June 5 will be open for check-in from 4:30pm-5:00pm at the KP Community Council Office in the Key Center Corral. Open from 4:30pm-7:00PM.

The Mustard Seed Project’s 2025 Growing Together Gala Saturday, June 7, 5:00pm-9:00pm at The Longbranch Improvement Club. Online Auction June 5-7. Tickets are available for $110 here: https://TMSPGrow2025.givesmart.com

Blues Vespers featuring Annie Eastwood & her All-Star Band Sunday, June 8, 5:00pm at Fox Island United Church of Christ. Event open to everyone, with a free-will donation that will benefit both Key Peninsula Community Services (KPCS) and the band. Those attending are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to support the food bank at KPCS.

The Mustard Seed Project-Life After Loss-Grief Support Group at 12:00pm on Monday, June 9 and every second Monday of each month.

TacomaProBono Legal Aid, every 2nd Tuesday (This month June 10) 10:00am – 12:00 pm at KPCS and 1:00pm -3:00pm at The Mustard See Project. Information and legal assistance from experts at TacomaProBono. Can help with: Basic legal questions, landlord-tenant issues, family law, advice, & resources. Walk-ins welcome on first come first serve basis.

Key Pen Parks is looking for volunteers to help the week of June 9-13 to install new equipment at Home Park. Welcoming volunteers with all levels of skill and ability. Volunteers with construction or outdoor labor experience are extra welcome. Gloves and refreshments will be provided. Reach out to Stephanie Warren if interested: Office phone- 253-884-9240

Mondays; Al-Anon Keys to Serenity, 5:00pm at the KP Fire Station. This group is for friends and family of alcoholics.

Tuesdays; Keys to Sobriety – Alcoholics Anonymous Open meeting, 5:30pm at Key Peninsula Lutheran Church

Thursdays; Keys to Sobriety – Alcoholics Anonymous Open meeting, 7:00pm at Key Peninsula Lutheran Church.

Friday-Sunday; Alcoholics Anonymous Home Group Meeting, 7:00pm-8:00pm at Key Peninsula Community Services (KPCS). All are welcome.

Property Tax Exemption Seminar at Key Peninsula Community Services (KPCS) Wednesday, June 11 at 2:00pm, Free seminar for Seniors and individuals with disabilities.
