Timely News:
The Key Center Library Wednesday, July 29: Story Time for Babies 10:15am-11:15am, The Reptile Lady – A Kids Summer Reading Program 2:30pm-3:20pm; Thursday, July 30: Story Time for Mixed Ages 11:15am-12:15pm; Friday, July 31: Play Time 2:00pm-3:00pm.
KP Community Services presents: Home is where the art is – A Senior Summer Camp. Tie-Dye Camp July 28-30, 5:00pm-6:00pm in the Dining Room. Rural Farm Camp August 4-6 – Visit Finally Home Farm, Moon Mountain Farm and Rainfall Ranch Rescue. Accessible farm visits with seating available, Free KPCS shuttle transportation. Final daily schedule subject to farm availability. All camps are FREE for seniors age 55+. To register, stop by KPCS or call (253)884-4440.
Also KP Community Services is having a Yard sale Friday, July 31 starting at 9:00am.
Rock Snake Party at All Around Gutters & PNW Water Heaters Friday, July 31 4:00pm-6:00pm. Rock painting, chalk art, and popsicles. Let’s get the rock snake to the fire station.
Summer Skate Night at KP Civic Center Friday, July 31 6:00pm-9:00pm.
Music in the Park at Gateway Saturday, August 1 6:00pm: MC2 Classic Rock stylings of Stevie Wonder, Bruce Springsteen, Moody Blues, and Johnny Rivers. Every concert is FREE and open to all ages.
Podiatrist Dr. Mark D. Nellermoe will be at the Mustard Seed Project on Tuesday, August 4 at 11:00am with a mobile foot care team. Call to reserve your appointment today. 253-884-9814.

Two Waters Arts Alliance presents Art Walk 2026 Saturday, September 5, 10:00am-6:00pm. Now at the Key Peninsula Civic Center. Indoor and Outdoor Art Booths, live music, children’s activities, food, beer & wine. Registration is now open for vendors. Food 4 All’s 7th Annual Clothing Drive Friday, August 7 & Saturday, August 8 10:00am-6:00pm Sunday, August 9 9:00am-11:00am. Gently used or new clothes, shoes, and accessories for people of all ages.
NAMI Pierce County Annual Community Picnic at Red Barn Saturday, August 8 12:00pm-3:00pm. Their Annual Picnic is a chance for community members, families, volunteers, and supporters to gather for an afternoon of food, fun, and connection. It’s potluck style, and everyone is welcome. Guests are encouraged to bring a side dish or dessert to share if they’re able.
DSHS Mobile Office will be at KP Community Services Tuesday, August 25 10:00am-2:00pm. It will be staffed by specialists who can determine people’s eligibility for state and federal medical, cash, and food assistance programs. Their team processes new applications, case reviews, changes, EBT card requests and required documents. They also take applications for the Child Care Subsidy Program and forward them to the Department of Children, Youth and Families for processing.
Activities off the Key Peninsula:
Friday nights at the Gig Harbor YMCA. “Late Nite,” is a free, safe program for grades 6-12 (9–11 PM) offering basketball, volleyball, music, and dinner.
Mrs. Roper Romp Market Wednesday, July 29, 5:00pm-8:00pm at The Beer Vault & Wine Bar. Grab your BFF and zip into your best Mrs. Roper outfit – it’s time to sip, shop, and strut! Enjoy a fabulous lineup of local makers & small-batch vendors, ready with unique finds and irresistible goodies. Between the drinks, food, shopping, and laughter, you’ll wonder why every market isn’t a romper party.
Seafair Weekend Friday-Sunday July 31-August 2 8:30am-6:00pm. Seafair Weekend Festival is Seattle’s premier boating event, air show, and festival all rolled into one. Cruise the Narrows Car Show Saturday, August 1 8:00am-3:00pm at Uptown Gig Harbor. Entry is $20 per vehicle (free to wander through) collected at the time of arrival. All proceeds and donations go to our scholarship fund that benefits the three Peninsula School District high schools. We help fund continuing education to those looking to pursue a career in the automotive field.
Manchester Summer Festival Saturday, August 1 10:00am-4:00pm downtown Manchester. Live music, vendors, food, family fun.
Rad Rides – Gig Harbor Eagles Fundraiser Car Show Saturday, August 1 12:00pm. Open to the public, Enjoy the Eagles, check out the Rad Rides, purchase some food or a beverage. All profits from this event goes towards our building maintenance fund to help their 87-year-old building. Free T-shirt with every entry.
