Timely News:

Key Center Library: Story Time for Babies Wednesday, January 14, 10:15am-11:15am; Story Time for Mixed Ages Thursday, January 15, 11:15am-12:15pm; Teen Creative Space Thursday, January 15. 3:00pm-4:30pm; Play Time Friday, January 16, 1:00pm-2:00pm.

KP Community Services hosting ADHD Support Group Thursday, January 15 at 3:00pm-4:30pm.

The Mustard Seed Project Decorative Wood Sign Painting Thursday, January 15, 1:00pm. All supplies and hands-on assistance provided. $15 per person. Call or email to reserve your spot; 253-884-9814, tmspinfo@themustardseedproject.org

The Key Free Clinic will have shortened hours on Thursday, January 15th, 4:00pm-5:30pm. Then back to their regular hours the first and third Thursday each month, 4:30pm-7:00pm.

El Sombrero takeovers. Three schools and three different days, all 3 will share the funds, but one will get the trophy. Vaughn Huskies: January 15th, Minter Dolphins: January 22nd, Evergreen Eagles: January 29th.

KP Business Association Luncheon at El Sombrero on Friday, January 16th at 12:00pm.

Skate Night at KP Civic Center Friday, January 16, and most Fridays. K-3rd grades 6:00pm-7:00pm, K-8th grade 7:00pm-9:00pm Entry $6, this includes skate rental and games.

Upcoming Key Peninsula Events:

Roadside litter cleanup with Key Pen It Clean Saturday, January 24, 10:00am-12:00pm. Meet at the intersection of Whiteman Rd SW and Lake Drive SW to hand out safety vests, litter grabbers, trash bags, and road assignments. Please wear closed-toed footwear and bring your work gloves. Volunteers must be at least 15 years old and in good health.

Pancake breakfast sponsored by KP Business Association at KP Civic Center Saturday, January 24, 9:00am-12:00pm. This is to help fund the PHS Scholarship Fund.

3 Schools in 1 Community Carnival: Evergreen, Vaughn, Minter Creek PTA’s; Saturday, January 24, 12:00pm-5:00pm at KP Civic Center.

It’s Summer Somewhere: Sunshine & Soul at KP Civic Center Saturday, January 31, 6:00pm-10:00pm. This is for ages 21+. Tickets are $30, food included, but drinks are sold separately. Peninsula School District – Learn about the upcoming replacement Educational Programs & Operations Levy. There are two upcoming sessions; Saturday, January 20, 5:00 at Swift Water Elementary School: Monday, January 26, 6:00pm at Evergreen Elementary School.
