There is a lot going on at the Key Center Library. Tech Help – Wednesday, July 9, 10:00am-1:00pm; All Things Medicare, A health and wellness program – Wednesday, July 9, 3:00pm-5:00pm; Family Story Time – Thursday, July 10, 10:30am-11:30am; MultiCare WIC Clinic – Thursday, July 10, 1:00pm-4:30pm; Baby Story Time – Tuesday, July 15, 10:15am-11:00am; Kids Maker Fun – Tuesday, July 15, 2:00pm-3:30pm.
Gig Harbor Key Peninsula Housing & Homeless Coalition meeting for Thursday, July 10 has been cancelled.
Key Peninsula Council Meeting: Thursday, July 10. Refreshments at 6:00pm, meeting starts at 6:30pm. The guest speaker will be Peninsula Emergency Preparedness Coalition (PEP-C). Pierce County Human Services will be at KP Community Services Thursday, July 10 at 11:00am.
Also, at KP Community Services Free Tables Friday, July 11 and every 2nd and 4th Friday each month until Fall. Weather permitting of course.
The Mustard Seed Project will be having a Volunteer Interest Event Thursday, July 10, 4:00pm-5:00pm. There are several volunteer opportunities, helping with senior activities, transportation, gardening, or meal delivery to name a few.
Also, at The Mustard Seed Project-Life After Loss-Grief Support Group at 12:00pm on Monday, July 14 and every second Monday of each month.
Townhall with Councilmember Robyn Denson Thursday, July 10, 5:00pm-6:30pm at Key Center Library.
Key Pen It Clean litter pickup event Saturday, July 12, 10:00am. Gather at KP Lutheran Church and pick up a 2-mile section of KPH and a half mile section of Lackey Road. Volunteers must be at least 15 years old and in good health.

Food Backpacks 4 Kids is looking for volunteers to help with The 6th Annual Community Clothing Event. They are accepting donations July 14-August 10 at: Best Western (Gig Harbor), Harbor Christian Center, KP Lutheran Church, The Kids Dentist (Gig Harbor), Purdy Cost Less, St. John’s Episcopal Church on Skansie Ave, Waypoint Church North, TAPCO Credit Union. This year, leading up to the event, they will be sorting at their new property in Key Center, 15717 88th St NW, Lakebay WA 98349 (Big Yellow House past the Key Center Library). The actual Clothing event itself will be held at the Key Peninsula Civic Center on August 22-24. You can sign up for as many shifts as you would like. Come celebrate with Communities In Schools of Peninsula, they are turning 25! For a quarter of a century, they’ve been dedicated to empowering students, families, and school staff with the support and resources they need to thrive. As the only non-profit operating IN schools, they take pride in their unique role in the community! Join them on August 22nd from 4-7 PM at the Gig Harbor Marine and Boatyard. They’ll be honoring a deserving community member with the Hope Lifter Award and will have appetizers, drinks, and live music. This is your chance to celebrate with CISP and see firsthand the impact of their work!
