Join Key Peninsula Community Services on Wednesdays this month at 1:00pm for “Wi-Fi Wednesdays!” Each week they will explore a new topic to help you feel more confident with today’s technology. September 17 – Phone Tips and Tricks, September 24 – Computer Basics & Handy Tricks.

The Key Free Clinic on Thursday, September 18 will be open from 4:30pm-7:00pm at the KP Community Council Office in the Key Center Corral. Check in from 4:30pm-5:00PM

Boot Scoot N’ Boogie the Night Away at the KP Business Association Annual Dinner Sunday, September 21, 5:00pm-8:00pm at Longbranch Improvement Club. There will be line dancing, auction, dinner, and desert. For additional information: https://kpba.org
KP Civic Center closed now through October 1 for Facility Maintenance.
Pierce County is now on a Stage 1 Burn Ban. Even though our burn status has been reduced to a Stage 1, be mindful that fuels are still dry and that there is no outdoor burning. BBQs and recreational fires in approved pits are ok as long as dry season firewood is used and not brush.

Paper Shred event Saturday, September 27, 10:00am-1:00pm at Key Peninsula Fire Station #46 in Key Center. You can shred up to 3 shopping bags of paper at each event.

Saturday, October 4th KP Civic Center’s fall fundraiser presents Down Home with Joel Gibson Jr! They will have a chili bar and a 50/50 raffle! Ticket includes concert and dinner. Drinks and raffle tickets sold separately. Doors open at 6:00pm for food, and the concert starts at 7:00pm. This is a 21+ Event. $30.00 presale $40.00 at the door. The Mustard Seed Project’s Fall Health Fair and Vaccine Clinic is Tuesday, October 7, 10:00am-2:00pm. Purdy Cost Less will be providing adult Flu and Covid vaccines. Bring your healthcare card and ID.
Thriving Generation Launch Party Friday, October 10, 4:00pm-6:00pm at Gateway Park. Tech-free carnival packed with play-based activities, creative stations, and opportunities to experience life without the distraction of electronic devices.
Second Annual Madrona Fest Saturday, October 18, 12:00pm-9:00pm at Key Peninsula Civic Center. They will have vendors starting at 12:00pm, contra dance, workshops, farm to festival menu, and bands set to begin performing at 4:00pm. They will also have their FIRST photography contest!
