The Key Peninsula Community Council is hosting their Monthly Coffee Hour tomorrow, July 25th, at 11:00 am at the Community Office in Key Center. This month’s guest is staff from the Red Barn Youth Center.

Food Backpacks 4 Kids is running its Summer Lunch Program offering free sack lunches to kids of all ages through the end of August. The program runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays from noon to 1:00 at Gateway Park, Home Park, the KP Civic Center, and the Gig Harbor Skate Park. The Mustard Seed Project is partnering with Homewatch Caregivers and Rotary Club of Gig Harbor to provide training for in-home caregivers. This is a Certified Home Care Aid Program that will put participants on the path to a career in Health Care. The first session will begin in September. We will have another session in the Spring. The Tacoma Pierce County Health Department is offering a Community and School grant focused on Youth Cannabis and Commercial Tobacco Prevention Program. Grant applications are due August 23rd.
