Key Peninsula Community Services will have a SHIBA Advisor from Peninsula Community Health Services on Wednesday, September 3 at 11:30am to help with any Medicare and other health insurance information you may need. Call 253-884-4440 to be put on the schedule.
Also, at Key Peninsula Community Services (KPCS) hosts the Peninsula Community Health Services (PCHS) Mobile Medical Clinic on Wednesday, September 3, 1:00pm-3:00pm. Appointments are recommended, but walk-ins welcome. Contact the website for more information. (pchsweb.org)

Senior Empower Hour with Gig Harbor Self Defense Thursday, September 4, 2:00pm at The Mustard Seed Project. This is a free lecture designed specifically for seniors. There are no physical skills involved. Topics include situational awareness and how criminals choose their targets. The goal is to help seniors feel safer and more confident in their everyday lives. Information and legal assistance from experts at TacomaProBono. Can help with: Basic legal questions, landlord-tenant issues, family law, advice, & resources. Walk-ins welcome on first come first serve basis.
Candidate Forum at Key Peninsula Civic Center Tuesday, September 9, 2025, 6:30pm-8:30pm. These will be candidates for; 26th LD, Fire Commissioner, Park Commissioner, and Peninsula School District Director positions.

City Police Chief Open House Thursday, September 4, 4:00pm-6:00pm at Civic Center Council Chambers-3510 Grandview Street, Gig Harbor. There are 4 finalists who will be having in-person sessions, including an opportunity to meet them.
Harbor Hounds Community Dog Festival and Fundraiser Saturday, September 6, 10:00am-3:00pm at Skansie Brothers Park. Join in for a tail-wagging good time. This event celebrates furry friends and supports local charities through a day of activities for all ages. Event Highlights: Dog Contests, Vendor Villagem Food and Treats, Family Fun (activities and games just for kids), Vendor Scavenger Hunt, and Wag Bags (Pre-registered guests receive a Wag Bag packed with coupons, giveaways, a limited edition Harbor Hounds puppy Bandana and bracelet, and $10 in “Puppy Bucks” to spend at food trucks or the Pup Tent Store-Limited to the first 150 participants. Proceeds support The Rotary of Gig Harbor Miday, funding high school scholarships and vital community outreach projects.
