Key Center Library: Wednesday, February 25 – Story Time for Babies 10:15am-11:15am, Ready Reader 4:00pm-5:00pm; Thursday, February 26 – Teen Steam, Sticker Maker 3:00pm-4:30pm; Tuesday, March 3 – Conversation Café – The Red Address Book – An Arts and Culture Program 11:00am-12:00pm.
KP Kids meeting on Thursday, February 26 at 10:00am at The Red Barn Youth Center. This is a NEW permanent time and permanent location.
Relatives Raising Kids at KP Lutheran Church Thursday, February 26, 6:00pm.
FREE Disaster First Aid Class at Key Peninsula Civic Center on Saturday, February 28 at 8:30am. Disaster First Aid Training will provide you with skills to support a patient for hours or days until EMS can arrive to assist the ill/injured. The class focuses on Neighborhood Emergency Teams working together, establishing a triage first aid station, and caring for neighbors. These skills will be useful in everyday emergencies. Key Pen It Clean’s Roadside Litter Cleanup Saturday, February 28, 10:00am-2:00pm. Meet up at KP Civic Center. Please wear sturdy footwear and bring work gloves. We will provide safety vests, litter grabbers, trash bags, and road assignments. Volunteers must be at least 15 years old and in good health.
Brunch and Bingo at The Mustard Seed Project Monday March 2, 11:00am-2:00pm. Join them for brunch ($5) from 11:00am-1:00pm and stay for Bingo. You could win a prize.

Checking In with the Sheriff Saturday, March 21, 3:00pm-5:00pm at Key Center Library. Meet Sheriff Keith Swank, ask questions and learn about what’s going on in Pierce County.
Let’s Get Crabby, KP Civic Center’s annual crab feed is Saturday, March 21st, 4:00pm-7:00pm. Get your tickets at Sunnycrest Nursery, KP Civic Center Office (253)884-3456, or online www.kpciviccenter.org. Tickets are Adults $60, Kids 6-12 $20, Kids 0-5 Free. Craft beer and wine are available for purchase.
Activities off the Key Peninsula:
Monkey Shines are back. They are a tradition that involves the hidden and discovery of glass orbs, referred as Monkeyshines. They are typically 5-10 inches in size and have an insignia which corresponds to the Chinese Lunar New Year. They are hidden in various public locations across Pierce County. The Found Market 2026 presented by Josephine’s Mercantile & Valley Vintage Market at Kitsap County Fairgrounds in Bremerton the weekend of February 27 & 28. Friday Early Bird 3:00pm-8:00pm $10, Good all day Friday and Saturday. First 100 guests in line receive a free gift. Friday General Admission 4:00pm-8:00pm $6, Saturday General Admission 10:00am-4:00pm $6. Tickets are CASH only at the door. Children 12 and under are free, FREE parking.
Altrusa International presents the 11th Annual Empty Bowls Fundraiser Saturday, March 7, 11:00am-2:00pm at Chapel Hill Church, 7700 Skansie Ave, Gig Harbor. Purchase your hand-crafted bowl, prices start at $10, then choose a soup. 100% of proceeds fund local programs feeding children and families. Have you heard about the Drone light Show?
This is a FREE event presented by Key Pen Parks and PSD Performance Drone Team at Volunteer Park Friday, February 27. Takeoff is at 7:30pm.
FREE parking is available at Volunteer Park & Key Peninsula Middle School. Cars will not be allowed inside park once the show starts, so come early.
Bring chairs and blankets as most seating is on the baseball fields. Cocoa and snacks available via donation.
Drone show is weather permitting & launch time may shift based on conditions. If postponed show will move to March 13th. Changes to date or showtime announced on Facebook & Instagram @Keypen_parks & @psd.drones
