FAQ’s:
Is the Port Orchard Urgent Care closing?
Yes, it is closing for renovations starting Thursday, February 27. The Urgent Care will close for renovations to begin toward a planned reopening in the fall of 2025. Once re-opened, it will be VMFH’s 2nd new hybrid urgent care/emergency room. With this innovative approach, a partnership between Virginia Mason Franciscan Health and Intuitive, upon arrival, a patient will be evaluated based on need and assigned to either the urgent care or ED as appropriate. This approach will allow for appropriate billing as well depending on the need. The grand opening of their first hybrid urgent care/ED will take place Tuesday, March 4th for their new location in Bremerton at 4205 Kitsap Way. With these new hybrid locations, they aim to provide more resources for the community while also easing the significant volumes their ED’s in Silverdale and Gig Harbor are currently experiencing.
