It’s the last week to submit nominations (due Saturday, February 1st) for Key Peninsula Lions Club Citizen of the Year Celebration. It will be March 29 at the Key Peninsula Civic Center. Forest Stewards of the KP is hosting an event at Longbranch Improvement Club on Wednesday, March 26. Doors open at 6:30pm, Program starts at 7:00pm. Optional walk in the LIC Woods at 5:30pm. No Host bar with beverages.

Activities off the Key Peninsula:

The Peninsula Art League (PAL) invites artists nationwide to showcase their talents at this year’s 39th Summer Art Festival July 19-20, held at the breathtaking Sehmel Homestead Park in the heart of Puget Sound. FAQ’s:

 What is the Point-in-Time (PIT) count?

  • It is an annual event where community organizations survey each person who experiences homelessness, whether sheltered or unsheltered.  The count includes people staying in homeless assistance programs.
  • This count helps organizations to understand why people experience homelessness and helps to give ideas on how to help.
  • This is also an opportunity to get resource assistance for the homeless population as well as supplies and food.

When?

  • This year it is being held on Thursday, January 30 and Friday, January 31.

Where?
