The Peninsula Community Health Services Mobile Medical Van is at KP Community Services in Home today, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.

The Key Free Clinic is scheduled to be open tomorrow, Nov. 2nd from 5:00 pm in the KP Community Office in the Key Center Corral.

Pierce County Habitat for Humanity has 2 homes in the Gig Harbor area available for purchase and is looking for interested buyers from 2-5 member households with incomes just below the 50% AMI level ($43,000 to $58,000 annually). To find out more, contact Liz at lcrouse@tpc-habitat.org

There will be a Tree lighting, Santa, Music, face painting, cookie decorating, S’mores fire pits, Games, Lit cars and Rigs, Cocoa Bar, GNOSH , Coloring station, Santa letters. Peninsula Hands-on Art will be holding their 14th Annual Family Movie Day at Galaxy Theatres on November 10th. Movies start at 9:00 am and 9:30 am, doors open at 8:30 am (first come, first serve)

Can you please give a reminder on what medical access we have here on the Key Peninsula?

  • Yes! We currently have two clinics, a nurse practitioner, a monthly free clinic, a dentist, a chiropractor, a naturopath, and a pharmacy/drug store.
  • The two clinics are similar in that they are both federally funded clinics, meaning they are required to take Medicare but also take other insurances and have sliding scales based on income levels.

Community Health Clinic – Key Medical Center (253) 884-9221 (Dr. Roes old office, behind library)

  • Has family practice doctors, pediatricians, as well as other specialties
  • Has a pharmacy (for their patents only)
  • Has a large network of specialties available if people can get across the bridge

Peninsula Community Health Clinic (360) 377-3776 (further north, near the Shell Station on Key Pen Hwy)

  • Has family practice doctors and dental here on the KP
  • Has a pharmacy (for their patients only)
  • Has a large network of specialties available if people can go north towards Bremerton.
