These updates are produced by the KP Partnership with input from numerous other local organizations.
Timely News:
Another way to volunteer in Key Peninsula is by joining the board of different organizations. KP Community Services and us (KP Partnership for a Healthy Community) are looking for board members just to name a couple of organizations.
KP Coffee Hour in the KP Community Council Office located at 9013 Key Peninsula Hwy. NW, Suite D, Key Center. The Water Quality Department of TPCHD is the presenter this month at 11:00am, Thursday March 27.
KP Kids meeting on Thursday, March 27 at 1:00pm at The Red Barn Youth Center. This is a NEW permanent time and permanent location.
KP Advisory Commission (for land use) will be at Key Center Fire Station Thursday, March 27 at 5:30pm. An agenda can be downloaded from: https://www.piercecountywa.gov/Calendar.aspx?EID=15863
KP Relatives Raising Kids is happening Thursday, March 27 (and every 4th Thursday) at KP Lutheran Church 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Email Lori at childcare@kphealthycommunity.org for more information.
Emergency Preparedness meeting Thursday, March 27, 7:00pm – 8:30pm at the KP Civic Center. For any questions: eprep@kpciviccenter.org
KeyPen It Clean next road clean-up Saturday, March 29, 10:00am – 12:00pm. Will meet at the intersection of Whiteman Road SW & Lake Drive SW. Volunteers must be at least 15yrs old.

Upcoming Key Peninsula Events:
KP Community Services is having their Bikes & BBQ Spring Charity Ride on Saturday April 19. All proceeds go to the expansion of their Food Pantry.
Caregiver Academy at The Mustard Seed Project starts Tuesday, April 22. At the end of the six-week program, participants will have all the required hours and training to become a Certified Home Care Aide. Call or email to register, space is limited: 253-884-9814, programs@themustardseedproject.org
Activities off the Key Peninsula:
The Great Sasquatch Hunt by PenMet Parks. This is a park-wide Sasquatch themed scavenger hunt. The elusive hominid will move to a different park each week in April. For additional information and locations: https://www.penmetparks.org/special-events/

This week’s update mentions a lot of meetings. Are you familiar with them? All of them are open to the public, here’s a quick rundown on a few of them:
- KP Coffee hour – The local KP Council holds this to showcase different organizations in the community
- KP Kids – Monthly meeting to bring organizations and residents together to share what they do for the kids of KP and discuss possible events.
- KP Advisory Committee – Facilitates a structured two-way communication process between County and community residents.
