FAQ’s:

Are people having difficulties contacting Social Security Administration?

The simple answer is yes. The Social Security Offices are by appointment only, but to make an appointment you must go online or call to schedule one. Some people are not able to get into their online account. It advises them to call to get access because some of the information given is incorrect. The hold time for calling can be anywhere from 1-4 hours if it does not hang up on you.

It has been said the best time to call is in the middle of the week, in the middle of the month. And for online access try different web browsers. Chrome, Edge or Safari are a few for example.
