 Timely News

Tonight, Red Barn Youth Center is hosting a Summer Kick-off Party for Alumni and Current Youth. Join other Red Barn alumni and current attendees from 6:00 to 8:30 for a meal, party headphones, the Game Truck, ice cream truck and more.

Tonight, El Sombrero is hosting a fund-raiser for the KP Civic Center. A portion of all sales from 3:00 to 9:00 pm will go to support the KPCC.

Tomorrow night, June 20th, the Key Free Clinic will be open starting at 4:30 at the Community Office in the Key Center Corral.

Key Pen it Clean will be holding a clean-up event along the KP Highway this Saturday, June 22nd at 10:00 am. Meet at the KP Lutheran Church, bring gloves and sturdy shoes.  Bags and vests will be provided.

Rescheduled for this Saturday – the KP Community Services Car Show this Saturday, June 22nd.  Car-owning participants can get breakfast at 9:00 am at KP Community Services in Home.  The show itself will start at 10:00 and take part in the parking lot of the old Reed’s (Callahan’s) in Key Center.  To find out more and/or register a car, go to: or contact or call (253) 884-4440

Councilmember Robyn Denson is holding a Key Peninsula Chat next Tuesday, June 25th from 6:00 to 7:00 pm at the Community Office in the Key Center Corral.  For more information, go to:


Key Pen Parks is celebrating its 20th Anniversary this Saturday, June 22nd from 3:00 to 7:00 pm at Gateway Park.  There will be fun, vendors, live music, a beer garden, and more! All are welcome – to find out more, go to:

Key Pen News, The Mustard Seed Project, and AARP Washington are holding a Candidate’s Forum on Friday, June 28th, 6:00 – 7:30 pm at the KP Civic Center. Doors open at 5:30. Registration requested for planning purposes, to RSVP call (877) 926-8300.

The Farm Tour organizers had a very successful Spring Tour and are already planning for the fall event happening September 28th -29th.
